Medoc's Patache d'Aux is a delightful solution to the dilemma. Ready now, the berry-scented 03 is an alluring wine with lovely, concentrated cherry flavors. Medium-bodied with good, stiff tannins and a very respectable finish.

Sure, you'll have to live without creosote, leather and lead pencil, but you'll have your Bordeaux and a bit of instant gratification too.

Farbe : dichtes Purpur mit violett. Duft : noch verlossen, Frucht entwickelt sich nur langsam, dann aber untermalt von Vanilletönen. Geschmack : am Gaumen viel Schmelz und angenehme Frucht, sehr gute Tannine, elegant, mittlere Länge.

A usually reliable performer, Patache d'Aux produced a solid wine in the difficult 2002 vintage.

A whiff of mint carries through on the palate, wich blends herbs, berries and vanilla in a straightforward claret. Fruit shows through the firm tannins on the finish, suggesting this will improve over the next few years.

Robe soutenue, aux reflets rouges vif. Nez de fruits rouges et noir, mêlés de notes boisées délicatement fumées. La bouche associe la qualité du fruit et de la matière. Elle est pleine, soyeuse, nette et relativement croquante.

Un millésime au mieux de sa forme.
