Elaborated by our new team, this wine displays a robe of average density. The discreet nose offers a nice fruity, associated with vanilla notes, while the palate gives off a certain richness.

Even though tannins might still seem a little bit aggressive, the finesse of the cru is incredible.

Property of Prince Guy de Polignac, this "cru" is now cultivated by the GIE "The Three Chateaux". A good system for this wine whose robe is deep red and very promising.

This wine holds well at the palate developping tannins with roasted notes and ripe grapes.

Commanded by a beautiful Bordeaux style residence, this "cru" proposes a nice wine marked by oak maturing (liquorice and vanilla) where the bouquet appears to the palate with a gentle structure that will allow the fruit aromas to express fully.

A classic combination of cassis, minerals, and withe flowers with some background oak results in an attractive, lovely, mid-weight.

Claret for drinking durin its first 6-7 years of life.

The improvement in this once-moribund estate in recent years has been astouding.

This 2003 continues the trend, packed with almost opulent red fruits and balancing vanilla flavors, with a good layer of dusty tannins. There is fine acidity to finish, and the promise of good aging potential.

Châteaux with humble pedigrees can surprise you in a year of heat and drought, especially if they have moisture-retentive soil that better-know estates lack.

That certainly is the case with the 2003 vintage in Bordeaux. Following are some terrific, intensely concentrated wines from the vintage.

They prove that not all Bordeaux wines are incredibly expensive : they're all between 14 $ and 25 $ a bottle.

Lovely aromas of currant and berry follow through a medium-bodied palate, with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very well done for Liversan.

As good as the 2000.

Cedar, smoky oak. Spicy, chocolate, mouth filling, well balanced with cocoa-like tannins.

Exploitée par la famille Lapalu depuis 1995, cette propriété a appartenu aux princes de Polignac. Sous une robe rubis typique, le 2004 dévoile un bouquet concentré et complexe, alliant le fruit et le grillé. Accompagné par un boisé bien présent, le palais se montre élégant et invite à une garde de quelques années. Faisant également parti des Domaines Lapalu, le Château Lieujean 2004 est cité.

Clean and expressive nose of ripped red fruits, underlined by a fine woody touch.

Fleshy and elegant mouth. Tannins are thin and well developped. This Haut-médoc is charming and well built.

Beatiful dark robe with garnet red and cherry reflects.

The nose if clean, thin, mixed with red fruits aromas and woody notes.

The mouth is silky and elegant, tannins from barrels give the aromatic complexity and confirm its reputation.
