Château Liversan Cuvée Sophie
Cru Bourgeois Supérieur
Haut-Médoc
Registered as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932 Château Liversan was formerly owned by the Marquis de Latresne during the XVIIIth century, then by the Prince de Polignac from 1984 until the take over by the Lapalu family in 1995.
The fruity aromas combine with the roasted flavour of the barrel, the concentrated tannins are supple and elegant. There is, on the whole, a feeling of great harmony.

From two very old plots of the vineyard, one of Merlot, the other one
from Cabernet Sauvignon, selected from the most ancient part, we have
produced a small quantity of wine which seems to develop, in our
opinion, the finest qualities of Château Liversan.

A 50/50 blend of wood-aged Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from selected
wines. It is wood-dominated at present, but the fruit feels rich enough to come
through shortly, and then it will be an impressively ripe, structured wine.
However, it’s always going to be a dry, dark and firmly tannic.

Steady robe, with garnet red hints.
Nose with wooden notes, zan and black fruits in the back.
Pretty powerful mouth, marked with a firm tannic framework where you can feel the wood influence.

Dark red robe.
A very rich nose with lots of character, a complexity that offers a pallet of red fruits, flowers and spices aromas with elegant and woody steady notes of licorice.
Great density in mouth, supple tannins, which stand well. Good mineral length.
